Atlas towing is dedicated to getting our customers the highest price for their recycled metals. In order to do this we have state certified scales and trained dedicated employees that are knowledgeable in the industry. Metals that we accept are listed below but, we are willing to talk about any other type.

Copper

#1 Bright and Shiny-wire with strands that are 12 AWG (about the thickness of a penny) or larger, bright and shiny in appearance, and without foreign elements
#2 Bright and Shiny- wire with strands that are less than 12 AWG solid that is bright, shiny in appearance, and without foreign elements
Burnt #1 and #2- wire that is corroded or burnt without foreign elements
Dirty Copper Wire- Wire that has foreign elements including insulation
Copper Tubing
Clean-copper tubing that is free of foreign elements
Dirty-copper tubing that has acceptable† amounts of foreign elements
Electric Motors-electric motors that have been removed and are free of major assemblies

Aluminum

Aluminum Cans- used beverage cans free of foreign elements
Painted Sheet or Cast
Clean-aluminum that is free of any foreign elements
Dirty-aluminum that has no more that 3% of foreign elements by weight
Truck Wheels-aluminum wheels that are free of assemblies including tires
Extrusion-aluminum extrusion that is free of foreign elements

Radiator

Copper Radiator
Clean-copper radiator that has all foreign metal components removed
Dirty-copper radiator with acceptable† amounts of foreign metal components( no part of the car frame should be attached)
Aluminum Copper Radiator-radiator with aluminum fined radiator with copper tubing
Aluminum Radiator- radiator with aluminum fins and tubs
