Recycling Metals, Cardboard, Paper, Aluminum Cans, and Plastics
Atlas towing is dedicated to getting our customers the highest price for their recycled metals. In order to do this we have state certified scales and trained dedicated employees that are knowledgeable in the industry. Metals that we accept are listed below but, we are willing to talk about any other type.
E-Waste
· Desktop computers, laptop Computers, working computer monitors(We cannot accept the old style glass tube style monitors or TVs)
Cardboard
· Any cardboard that is free of other materials and trash
Paper
· Office Paper – Includes junk mail, documents may have staples, tape, paperclips attached.
· Newspaper/Magazines/Catalogs – only newspapers, magazines, and catalogs
Plastics (all plastic bottles can have lids on them)
· PETE (#1) - Soda Bottles, water bottles, and other single-use bottled beverages.
· HDPE Color (#2) -Detergent and Juice Bottles
· HDPE Clear (#2)- Milk Bottles only
· Grocery Bags- Only Grocery bags and clean stretch film
· Other Plastics- Throwing away other plastics in large quantity? We can recycle most clean plastics including electrical wire shielding, shrink wrap, even mixed plastics. Please feel free to call.

Vehicle Battery
· Large and small car, truck, and boat batteries.
Aluminum
· Aluminum Cans- used beverage cans free of foreign elements
· Painted Sheet or Cast
o Clean-aluminum that is free of any foreign elements
o Dirty-aluminum that has no more that 3% of foreign elements by weight
· Truck Wheels-aluminum wheels that are free of assemblies including tires
· Extrusion-aluminum extrusion that is free of foreign elements
Copper
· #1 Bright and Shiny-wire with strands that are 12 AWG(about the thickness of a penny) or larger, bright and shiny in appearance, and without foreign elements
· #2 Bright and Shiny- wire with strands that are less than 12 AWG solid that is bright, shiny in appearance, and without foreign elements
· Burnt #1 and #2- wire that is corroded or burnt without foreign elements
· Dirty Copper Wire- Wire that has foreign elements including insulation
· Copper Tubing
o Clean-copper tubing that is free of foreign elements
o Dirty-copper tubing that has acceptable† amounts of foreign elements
· Electric Motors-electric motors that have been removed and are free of major assemblies
Radiator
· Copper Radiator
o Clean-copper radiator that has all foreign metal components removed
o Dirty-copper radiator with acceptable† amounts of foreign metal components( none of the car frame should be attached)
· Aluminum Copper Radiator-radiator with aluminum fined radiator with copper tubing
· Aluminum Radiator- radiator with aluminum fins and tubs
Brass
· Brass
o Clean- brass with no foreign elements
o Dirty- brass with acceptable† amounts of foreign elements
· Red Brass- red brass that is free of foreign elements
Iron
· Tin – thin metal such as automotive body parts
· Prepared Iron- metal that is smaller than 5’x5’ sections
· Unprepared Iron- metal that is larger than 5’x5’ sections
We are willing to talk about accepting any type of metal or recyclable material, feel free to ask.
